By April 29, 2025

Bob Williams is the Founder and CEO of Ranch Hands Rescue. After suffering a stroke in 2007, Bob retired from Motorola. Following a year of rehabilitation, he founded a nonprofit organization dedicated to saving animals and helping people. In 2008, Ranch Hands Rescue was born, creating a sanctuary for farm animals with special needs. In 2010, the Ranch Hands Rescue Counseling Program launched, uniquely pairing abused and neglected animals with individuals through Equine and Animal Assisted Counseling to help those unresponsive to traditional therapy.

Bob’s passion lies in helping innocent victims, especially children who require a nontraditional approach to uncover severe trauma. He built a team of highly trained, trauma-certified counselors to support those suffering and without hope. The program fills a unique niche in mental health services, specializing in complex trauma cases, including victims of repeated abuse by multiple perpetrators and individuals not progressing in traditional treatment.

In 2021, Bob founded the House of Hope, the nation’s first and only residential program and safe house for sexually abused young men ages 18 to 24, providing safety, healing, and a path forward for male survivors of sex trafficking.

Bob’s personal story of surviving rape, addiction, and homelessness, and rebuilding his life, fuels his passion and continues to drive the mission of Ranch Hands Rescue.

The late actor and five-time Emmy Award winner Doris Roberts once said of Bob, “He was one of the most incredible speakers I have ever heard… His journey needs to be heard by everyone who has struggled with sexual abuse, rape, or addiction.”
