Kristin Keen

By June 12, 2025

With a deep commitment to making a difference, Kristin Keen has dedicated herself to creating opportunities for survivors of human trafficking through innovative business initiatives. Her first endeavor began in Kolkata, India, where she co-founded Sari Bari, a business that provided survivors of human trafficking a pathway out of exploitation through employment. Upon her return to the United States in 2012, she founded Rethreaded, an organization designed to support survivors through meaningful work while offering continued healing through counseling and programming.

Keen has transformed her years of experience into successful talks, interactive workbooks, and a podcast that explores the process of rethreading the threads of our lives into purpose. Her efforts have enabled more than 200 survivors of human trafficking and their families to reclaim their lives.

When she’s not at Rethreaded, attending board meetings, or leading seminars, Kristin finds beauty and meaning in the world through sunrise swims in the ocean, challenging herself on the pickleball court, and hunting for vintage treasures at local thrift stores.
