By April 29, 2025

EleSrandra De Romano is a lived-experience expert, nationally recognized advocate, and survivor of sex trafficking, childhood abuse, and homelessness. She turned her painful past into a mission, founding S.T.A.R.S. (Standing Together Accomplishing Real Solutions) to support at-risk youth and survivors of exploitation.

For over two decades, she has provided direct outreach, training, and mentorship, working with law enforcement, policymakers, and organizations like Homeland Security, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), and Shared Hope International. Her story was featured in Renting Lacy: A Story of America’s Prostituted Children, and she played a key role in the largest human trafficking prosecution in U.S. history, helping 16 minor survivors in the FBI’s “Precious Cargo” case.

Honored with two Presidential Lifetime Achievement Awards (2016, 2024) and the Presidential Volunteer Service Gold Medal, Ms. De Romano continues to fight for those society who has forgotten, proving that even the most broken stories can be rewritten.
