Combatting Human Trafficking in Texas:
The Role of University Students

On November 11, 2020, at the request of the Texas Sunshines of the University of Texas at Austin, The John J. Brunetti Human Trafficking Academy will present Combatting Human Trafficking in Texas: The Role of University Students.  Liza Smoker, Managing Director of the Academy, will discuss recent human trafficking cases in Austin, Texas, as well as tangible steps that university students can take to fight human trafficking in their community.  As part of their philanthropy, the Texas Sunshines aim to raise awareness on the University of Texas campus and the greater Austin community to put an end to human trafficking.
