Camila is originally from Medellin, Colombia. She holds two Bachelor of Arts degrees in Criminal Justice and Psychology, along with a certificate in Terrorism and Homeland Security from St. Thomas University in Miami, FL. She has served as Executive Assistant to the Office of the Dean of St. Thomas University Benjamin L. Crump College of Law for several years.

During her undergraduate studies, she had the opportunity to intern with The Honorable Judge Lody Jean at Florida’s 11th Judicial Circuit Court, Criminal Division, which further strengthened her passion for justice. Camila is a very curious person and most interested in advocacy to bring change for all those in need, and to work towards upholding the dignity of every human being. She has seen, particularly in Colombia, children living in poverty and caught up in diverse vulnerable situations, facing heightened risks of trafficking and exploitation. She is dedicated to probe further into human trafficking in her country of origin and in our South Florida community, and is determined to empower herself with her work at the Academy in order to make a positive impact in the fight for justice, common good and dignity for good.
